Admission Procedure

B. TECH

1st Year : Passed 10+2 Examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. Admission will be according to JEE ranking.

2nd Year (LEET): Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidate) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology or passed B Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidate). Admission will be according to LEET ranking.

M.E. / M. TECH.

Passed Bachelor degree (B.E/B.Tech) in relevant discipline or equivalent with minimum 50% marks(45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category )

LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE BROUGHT AT THE TIME OF REPORTING IN THE INSTITUTE:

The candidates, at the time of reporting must bring the following Original Certificate / Documents/Testimonials along with three sets of duly attested photocopies of these with them. Any candidate, who fails to produce any of the required Certificate /Document/ Testimonial at the time of reporting the institution, will forfeit his/her claim to admission.

  • Qualifying Examination i.e.10+2 / Intermediate/ Senior Secondary School Examination.
  • Matriculation / High School Certificate.
  • JEE Rank Card.
  • Character Certificate.
  • Residents Certificate as per Annexure-II, if applicable : Candidates, who have passed their qualification examination from a Board/ Recognized School located in the State of Haryana will be deemed to be Haryana residents and will not be require to submit certificate of bonafide residents of Haryana.
  • Certificate from the Employer in the case of Employees of Govt. of Haryana, members of All India Services borne on Haryana Cadre, Employees of Statutory Bodies/ Corporations, if applicable.
  • Schedule Caste Certificate, if applicable.
  • Backward Class Certificate, if applicable and Affidavit.
  • Certificate in respect of Physically Handicapped Candidates, if applicable.
  • Certificate required to be furnished by the Children & Grand Children of Freedom Fighters, if applicable.
  • Certificate from wards of Deceased / Disabled / Discharged Military / Para-Military Personnel/ Ex-Servicemen or Ex-Personnel of Para- Military Forces, if applicable.
  • Certificate from wards of ex-employees of Indian Defence Services / Para-Military Forces, if applicable.
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness as per proforma given in Admission Brochure of HSCS.
  • Proof of annual parental income from all sources (in case of TFW quota candidates & SC candidates.
  • Anti-Ragging Undertaking by student.
  • Anti-Ragging Undertaking by Parents.

Notes

All Originals and 3 sets of Attested Photocopies of all applicable documents / testimonials /certificates must be brought at the time of reporting.

The original certificate shall be returned back after verification by the Institute.

In case of Kashmir Migrants, supporting certificates and original certificate of migration duly signed by the competent authority or Relief Commissioner.

In case of HGST (Haryana Govt. School Topper), candidates shall produce a certificate, in the support of their claim from the Principal /Headmaster of the Govt. School of which the candidate is topper clearly stating of class.

The candidate applying for Tuition Fee waiver (TFW) scheme will produce the relevant Income certificate issued by the competent authority (annual income of parents/guardians should be less than Rs. 8.00 Lakhs from all sources).

Only the candidates having the permanent disability of not less than 40%( being otherwise fit for admission to the course will be considered for admission as Physically Handicapped. Disability certificate must be issued from Chief Medical Officer of the concerned District. Physically Handicapped candidates belonging to Haryana are required are required to submit the handicap certificate as per Annexure- VI at the time of reporting.

Minimum Academic Qualifications For B.E. /B.Tech

  • Should be a pass in 10+2 examination from recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:
    • Chemistry
    • Computer Science
  • Obtained at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidate belonging to SC category) in the above subjects taken together for B.E/B.Tech

Minimum Academic Qualifications for BBA/BCA

Should be a pass in 10+2 examination from recognized Board/University with any stream with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.

M.Tech (Computer Science & Engg.)

  • B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science & Engineering /Computer Engineering / Information Technology/Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Electrical Engineering or Master of Computer Applications (MCA) or M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT/Software) or M.Sc. (Maths.) or M.Sc. (Physics) with at least 50% (45% for SC candidates of Haryana) marks in aggregate alongwith valid GATE score in Computer Science & Engineering /IT.
  • If GATE qualified candidates are not available, the remaining seats will be filled up by the candidates having qualification as prescribed under (i) above without GATE score on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University.
  • The GATE qualified candidates will not be required to appear in the Entrance Test.

M.Tech (Electronics & Communication Engg.)

  • First preference in the order: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Telecom Engineering /Electronics Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Second preference in the order: (a) B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering /Control Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate; (b) Biomedical Engineering /Mechatronics with 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Third preference in the order: (a) M.Sc. (Electronics) with 50% marks in aggregate; (b) M.Sc (Physics with specialization in Electronics) with 50% marks in aggregate with valid GATE score in Electronics & Comm. Engineering / Electronics Engineering.

*For Hostel : Security deposit Rs.4000 + Atleast 1 year for lodging at the time of admission + Atleast 6 months charges for food..

Loan

Loan

Indian nationals aged between 16 years to 35 years can avail an education loan from any lender for pursuing graduate and post – graduate courses in engineering. The applicant must have a confirmed admission in a university or a college recognized by UGC, Government, AICTE or such board.

DPGITM is approved by AICTE and affiliated to MDU Rohtak. Every student is eligible for education loan under various government schemes.
