DPG Institute of Technology & Management, Gurgaon organized an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted B.Tech students at the institute premises on August 16, 2017.
The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.
The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the Chairman, Sh. Rajender Gahlot, and Vice Chairman Sh. Deepak Gahlot & Surender Gahlot.
Sh.Rajender Gahlot (Chairman: DPGITM, Gurgaon), while delivering a speech on the occasion, said that it was not the events but the attitude that caused success.
Sh. Deepak Gahlot (Vice Chairman, DPGITM Gurgaon) said , One third of what constitutes a person is his genetic inheritance; another one third comes from the kind of upbringing he /she receives and the remaining one third from one’s own self. He also stressed the importance of dedication to one’s profession and the need to have proper planning before taking up and implementing any project.
Dr. Prahlad Singh (Director: DPGITM, Gurgaon), in his brief address to the students and parents, he expressed delight over the fact that DPGITM; Gurgaon had already become a much sought after institution for engineering studies in the Delhi/NCR region. He also reiterated the Management’s commitment to elevate the Institute to the status of one of the 10 best engineering colleges in the state within the shortest time possible and he sought the cooperation and support of the parents for same.
Mr. Randheer (Dean, TPO), briefed the students about the rules and regulations of the institute and requested the students and parents to understand and abide by the institutional rules and norms.
Mrs. Madhvi Bhatia, Head of the Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities gave necessary information about the academic design of the first year B.Tech Course and the University and Institute rules and regulations regarding academic matters.
A vote of thanks was proposed & DPGITM, Gurgaon expressed his gratitude to the parents and students for having faith and confidence in the institution.
